We had a very special winner of the trip for two to Las Vegas last Thursday night for our Ultimate Ladies Night in Vegas grand prize night and we loved the story so much we wanted to share it with you!

The winner of the trip was Lori Lucas who had an awesome story to share with us.  Eight years ago on December 22 Lori and Vince Lucas got engaged at The Palomino Club!  It was Lori’s birthday celebration and Hawg Wild (one of her favorite bands) was live on stage that night.  Vince had them sing happy birthday to Lori then the band called them up on stage announcing that Vince had something he wanted to say to  her.

Lori said she had an idea what was going on and was very nervous.  She did make her way to the stage and sure enough – Vince got down on one knee and proposed right there in front of a packed bar!  She said yes!

Vince, a regular at The Palomino Club for over twenty years, thought this proposal to Lori (a regular for over 12 years) out thoroughly – even hiring a photographer to make little cards out of the photos and getting all the staff sign them.

Lori and Vince (now married) got right on with life in the restaurant business.  Lori’s Dad is the co-founder of Chicken Chef.  Lori and Vince  own the Chicken Chef on Portage Avenue where they have the pleasure of serving some Palomino Club clientele.

As a result of their busy life raising three children and running a restaurant, Lori and Vince never had time for a honeymoon.  When Cary Paul (Managing Partner of The Palomino Club) heard the story of these Palomino Love Birds he decided the planned 3 day / 2 night trip to Las Vegas just wasn’t enough for a honeymoon for these two so Cary has extended the trip to an entire week of Honeymoon Bliss in Las Vegas!

Lori and Vince plan to take the trip in either May or September.
