In February of 2006, David and Mike met in Dubai while playing in 2 different International Show Bands. With both their contracts nearing an end, they decided to start a new project in their home town of Winnipeg where Shawn and Mark were added to the mix. Almost Famous was formed shortly after. The band quickly made their mark in the Winnipeg cover scene by earning full time work and a strong rotation in the elite clubs in town with their shows. With the combination of energy, trendiness and personality (not to mention Shawn bringing sexy back) Almost Famous the been dubbed “THE GREATEST BAND IN THE WORLD”
