All The Kings Men have been thrilling Sunday night pub crawlers with their powerhouse sets at the King’s Head Pub in Winnipeg for years. Their exciting forays into rock, blues and R&B make Sunday Night at the Head the place to be. “The Men possess a true group sound and approach” feeding off each other’s musical statements. There’s no one individual star, but everyone contributing to the energy of the band.
Leonard Shaw (keys, sax, flute & vocals) tours with The Guess Who since 1990; as well as crusading with Ian Hunter , Ian Thomas, Dianne Heatherington & Terry Crawford, but he started playing jazz-edged R&B with Mojo and the Nighthawks, blues with Blues For A Living, and continues to work in a jazz-vein today with the Leonard Shaw Trio, as well as playing in bands around town including the Ministers of Cool.
Two time Juno Award winner Ken (Spider) Sinnaeve (bass & vocals) has waged many successful campaigns, with the recently named Hall-of- Famers – Streetheart, Loverboy, Tom Cochrane, Kim Mitchell, The Guess Who and recorded with Doc Walker. David Caissy (guitar & vocals) is a seasoned musician, playing guitar, singing and song writing since he was 14 years old. Originally from Montreal PQ, David left on tour with the original rock band Pushy Pushy In 2000, David moved to Winnipeg Manitoba. David was also the lead guitarist for the most requested cover band in town, Juke Box Heroes. He has also recorded and toured with the original pop rock band The Council and blues musician from Chicago, Sam Cockrell.
A relative newcomer on the Winnipeg music scene , and a recent graduate from the University of Manitoba music program is drummer Curtis Nowosad. Adept at all styles of music Curtis gets to rock out with ATKM. Curtis Nowosad has quickly become a first-call drummer in the city of Winnipeg. At twenty-three, he has already performed with some of New York’s finest jazz musicians, as well as many of the mainstays of Winnipeg’s music scene. He plays regularly with Steve Kirby and hosts Winnipeg’s longest-running jam session, the “Wednesday Night Hang” at the Orbit Room; he also recently took over drumming duties in All the King’s Men, who have been playing every Sunday at the King’s Head Pub for eleven years. In addition to having opened for such artists as Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Centre Orchestra, Curtis has performed across Canada and can be heard on several recordings, such as Keith Price’s “Breakfast of Champions”, Marco Castillo’s “Brazilian Season”, and Michael Peters’ “Etherised”.
