The Palomino Club Charity Golf Classic in support of The Never Alone Foundation will be Tuesday, August 14 at The Kingswood Golf & Country Club.
The Never Alone Foundation`s mission is to provide compassionate support and to generate exciting community based fundraising events that have a direct benefit for individuals and their families affected by cancer. To date the foundation has raised over $800,000 which has been used to refurbish rooms in the GD6 ward at the Health Sciences Centre and palliative care rooms at Riverview Health Centre , patient and family services at Cancer Care Manitoba and other services to ensure everyone has support during times of illness.
As many of you know, I have encountered health issues over the past few years. I have faced many challenges and have overcome them through determination and with the support of family and friends. Through my experience, I have come to realize just how important this support is; no one should be alone when dealing with medical challenges.
My experience as a volunteer with Hospice and Palliative Care Manitoba and past friendships with former Blue Bomber Alumni Lyle Bauer and Dave Black, has led me to help further the mission of the Never Alone Foundation.
Funds raised at the Palomino Golf Classic will be donated to the Never Alone Foundation.
In support of this worthwhile cause, the World Famous Palomino Club will bring the fun and high energy of the night club scene to the links of Kingswood Golf & Country Club on Tuesday, August 14, 2012!
